Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Description

Our client school in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivational Teaching Assistant. You will benefit from being part of a supportive, pro-active team working with individuals and small groups of 11 – 16 year olds at this popular school within the town.

As a Teaching Assistant you will supervise and assist students‚ either on an individual basis or in small groups. You will support teaching staff within the classroom‚ working with students as indicated by the teacher. You will need to have strong communication skills to enable you to liaise with teaching staff and be pro-active in the planning of lessons, creating materials etc.

The position is to start as soon as possible to cover an absent colleague and is likely to continue until the end of the Autumn term.

The school is recognised as a successful school in the locality. It is significantly oversubscribed and popular with parents.

Only Teaching Assistants who have a valid visa to work in the UK can be considered for this post. Good literacy and numeracy skills are a must along with the ability to inspire, motivate and empathise with students.
